The verdict

Low-cost raw-spread trading with Tier-1 regulation

One Royal, formerly Royal Financial Trading, has operated since 2006 and today runs as a multi-entity group. For clients in the UK, EU and Australia it is regulated by CySEC and ASIC, two Tier-1 authorities, while clients in other regions are served through its offshore entities. It pairs a low $50 minimum deposit with genuinely competitive raw-spread pricing.

This review covers all ten sectors we score, from regulation and costs to mobile apps and account types, based on our standard testing framework.

Regulation and safety

For our core markets, One Royal is regulated by CySEC in Cyprus (license 312/16) and ASIC in Australia (AFSL 420268), both Tier-1 authorities. Under CySEC, an investor compensation fund of up to €20,000 is available, and the group is also a member of the Financial Commission, which adds up to €20,000 of dispute-resolution compensation. Clients outside these regions are onboarded to offshore entities in Vanuatu (VFSC) or St Vincent and the Grenadines, which carry lighter protections and enable the higher leverage tiers.

Client funds are held in segregated accounts with negative balance protection for retail clients, standard practice among regulated brokers, keeping your trading capital separate from the company’s operating funds.

Fees and spreads

One Royal offers two pricing routes. The Classic account is spread-only with no commission, spreads from around 1.4 to 1.8 pips. The ECN account carries raw spreads from 0.0 to 0.4 pips plus a commission of about $3.50 per side, which works out competitively for active and higher-volume traders. As always, confirm current spreads on One Royal’s pricing page before funding.

One Royal does not charge deposit or withdrawal fees on standard methods, and there is no inactivity fee, a genuine plus for traders who take breaks. Swap-free (Islamic) accounts are available, and positive swaps are offered on some positions.

Account opening and support

Opening an account follows standard identity verification, proof of ID and address, typical for any regulated broker. Verification and funding were straightforward in our experience, and the low $50 entry point on Classic and ECN accounts keeps the barrier to getting started low.

Customer support is multilingual and, in our direct dealings, responsive and helpful. Coverage is 24/5 during market hours; there is no dedicated weekend support, which is common among the brokers we review.

Our verdict · Rank 06

One Royal is a solid, unflashy broker that does the important things well. Regulation scores 9.0 on CySEC and ASIC licences with compensation-scheme cover, copy trading 8.5 through a full PAMM, MAM and ZuluTrade suite, and costs 8.0 on raw ECN spreads from 0.0 pips with no inactivity fee. Where it falls behind is breadth: markets score 6.0, the narrowest range in our pool, and mobile just 5.5 with no proprietary app. Platforms at 7.0 are MetaTrader-only. If you want Tier-1 protection, cheap raw spreads and serious copy-trading infrastructure from $50, it earns its place. If you want a wide instrument list or a polished phone app, look higher up the table.

How we test

We have reviewed brokers independently since 2017. Every score comes from opening and funding a real account, placing trades, contacting support and requesting a withdrawal, not from marketing material. Scores are revised whenever conditions change rather than once a year.

Our overall rating is curated, not averaged, so a serious failure in one sector cannot be offset by an unrelated strength. See the full scoring report for the methodology and every broker’s data.

Fees, spreads and terms are based on information published by One Royal and our own research, and can change without notice. This review is for informational purposes only and is not financial advice. CFDs carry a high risk of losing money.
