Vantage Review
A multi-regulated CFD broker built around raw ECN pricing, a low $50 entry point and a full MetaTrader plus TradingView platform stack. One of the strongest low-cost options we review.
A low-cost broker that keeps its regulation serious
Vantage is a multi-asset CFD broker founded in 2009, holding regulation across several jurisdictions including ASIC in Australia, the FCA in the UK and the FSCA in South Africa. It is built around raw ECN pricing: its Raw and Pro accounts offer spreads from 0.0 pips with a transparent commission, which puts it among the cheapest brokers we review for active traders.
This review covers all ten sectors we score, from regulation and costs to mobile apps and account types, based on our standard testing framework.

Regulation and safety
Vantage operates through several regulated entities depending on your region, including Vantage Global Prime under ASIC in Australia, a UK entity under the FCA, and further licenses with the FSCA in South Africa and CIMA in the Cayman Islands. Many international clients are onboarded under the offshore VFSC entity in Vanuatu, which carries lighter protections than the Tier-1 regulators, so it is worth checking which entity you are signing up with during onboarding.
Client funds are held in segregated accounts and the group offers negative balance protection to retail clients, which prevents an account from going below zero during volatile market moves.
Fees and spreads
Vantage runs a tiered account structure. The Standard STP account is commission-free with spreads from around 1.0 to 1.4 pips on EUR/USD, while the Raw and Pro ECN accounts drop spreads to near 0.0 pips and add a commission of roughly $3 per side per standard lot. For active and high-volume traders the raw pricing is genuinely competitive, and figures are broadly in line with the cheapest brokers we cover.
Vantage does not charge deposit fees and covers most withdrawal costs. An inactivity fee may apply after an extended dormant period, so as always it is worth confirming current pricing directly on Vantage’s site before opening an account.
Account opening and support
Account opening follows standard identity verification, proof of ID and address, and the low $50 minimum deposit makes it accessible for newer traders wanting to start small. Verification times were within the range we would expect, typically same-day to a couple of business days.
Customer support is available 24/5 via live chat, email and phone, with multilingual coverage reflecting Vantage’s international client base. Support is not available over the weekend, which is common among the brokers we review but worth noting if you trade instruments open on weekends.

Platforms and tools
Vantage is the most complete low-cost broker in our pool and the reason it ranks second is simple: it has no weak sector. Regulation scores a perfect 10.0 through ASIC, the FCA and the FSCA, costs 9.0 on raw ECN spreads from 0.0 pips, and platforms 8.5 with MT4, MT5, ProTrader, TradingView and its own app. Account types score 8.5, and nothing on the card falls below 7.0. The two things to weigh are the offshore VFSC entity many international clients are onboarded under, which carries lighter protections than the Tier-1 licences at the top of the structure, and 24/5 support rather than 24/7. For a trader who wants raw pricing without giving up serious regulation, and who can start with as little as $50, Vantage is the strongest all-round value we review.
We have reviewed brokers independently since 2017. Every score comes from opening and funding a real account, placing trades, contacting support and requesting a withdrawal, not from marketing material. Scores are revised whenever conditions change rather than once a year.
Our overall rating is curated, not averaged, so a serious failure in one sector cannot be offset by an unrelated strength. See the full scoring report for the methodology and every broker’s data.
